The City of Plymouth

Beyond the school's own facilities students have access to the extensive resources offered by the neighbouring university, city library, museum, art gallery and a sports centre.

When students need relaxation of a different kind, the 'Drake Circus' shopping mall is the gateway to pavement café-bars and restaurants. That, coupled with city centre street entertainers, creates a distinctive continental atmosphere.

As a holiday resort Plymouth offers all the usual amenities and many other attractions such as the National Marine Aquarium, Theatre Royal, Plymouth Pavilions, a Warner Village entertainment complex (cinema, bowling, restaurants, bars and nightclubs) and many night spots. All these co-exist in this modern cosmopolitan city within which beats the heart of a working port, rich in maritime history.

Plymouth is able to offer ready access to many coastal and water based activities in addition to the beautiful landscape and countryside of Dartmoor National Park and the rest of Devon and Cornwall.

The historic city of Plymouth is situated on the picturesque south-west coast of Devon and is the home of the Mayflower Steps (the 'Pilgrim Fathers' last stop in the Old World) and Plymouth Hoe famed for its lighthouse, open air swimming pool and parade ground which now hosts various festivals.
